Clinton Police Say Man Shot After Gunmen Enter His Home


The Clinton Police Department  says that a resident was shot after his home was forcibly entered by multiple gunmen on Monday night, August 26, 2013.

Officers responded to 2328 N. 5th St. In Clinton, Iowa around 10:22 p.m., to a report of armed suspects entering the residence.

Before the officers arrived, police realized that one of the people that lived there had been shot.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Lucas Snodgrass outside of the home with a gunshot wound.

Police say all the suspects had fled the scene before they arrived.

Snodgrass was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

The case remains under investigation.
