R.I. Community Foundation Issues Donations

Updated:

More than $100,000 is going to numerous groups in the Rock Island area and the QCA. Forty-nine charitable foundations received funding from the Rock Island Community Foundation.

The foundation's money all comes from gifts, donations or grants.

It's going to groups like the Rock Island High School special education department, the Quad City Botanical Center, and Ballet Quad Cities.

"The foundation's always open to supporting organizations to help in the arts, sciences athletics and music as well," said P.J. Foley, Chairman of the Rock Island Community Foundation.

All the groups and organizations receiving funding help residents and the community of Rock Island.
