One look at the lawns outside and you know it's dry. Now, the Quad City metro is on track for one of the driest streaks of weather on record.

While storms rolled through parts of the KWQC viewing area over the weekend, no measurable rain has fallen at the Quad City International Airport in Moline for 24 straight days. With no rain in the immediate forecast, Meteorologist Greg Dutra says the Quad Cities is now experiencing one of the top ten driest streaks since they began keeping records in the late 1800s. The longest string of dry weather was 45 days back in the 1950s.

Based on average rainfall, we've missed out on 3.79 inches of rain, so far.
