UPDATE: Village of Oquawka Certified Water Operator Jenna Link announced on Thursday, September 5, 2013, the Village of Oquawka is no longer under a Boil Order.

Link reports there maybe isolated water outages and boil orders issued on Tuesday, Sept. 10th.

Link will notify residents door-to-door if any outages or orders go into effect.

ORIGINAL: The Village of Oquawka, Ill., has a boil order scheduled to take place from Tuesday morning, September 3, 2013 at 6:00, and run through Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m..

Oquawka Mayor Sandra Fullerton Moody says the order is due to road construction on Schuyler St.

According to Moody, crews are working on the new water lines on both sides of Schuyler St.

The boil order is a precaution only.
