KWQC Has confirmed that federal and local drug agents raided homes in Bettendorf and Moline on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.

One of the homes is located in the 2100 block of Central Ave. in Bettendorf. Officers surrounded the house and used "tactical" procedures to gain entry. Sgt. Kevin Winslow, Director of the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group says no shots were fired; no roads were shut down and the community is safe. He says the investigation centers on suspects from out-of-town who came to the Quad Cities to distribute illegal narcotics.

Members of the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, Bettendorf Police Tactical unit and the Drug Enforcement Agency along with the Moline Street Crimes Unit and the Rock Island County ACE Unit were all involved.

In an unrelated case, police also raided a suspected drug operation in a home in Burlington.
