Davenport To Discuss Dock Development

Updated:

Davenport city leaders will once again discuss a plan that hopes to breathe new life into the old Dock restaurant.

The Davenport City Council and Levee Commission will meet on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, to look at plans for a $27 million private investment in a four-story building, housing, restaurants and offices.

Some had been concerned because the original plans called for just three stories.

Critics thought river views might be blocked for others who had already invested downtown.

The developer says those views would be preserved and he's ready to start the project.

The work session starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Figge Art Museum.
