Rock Falls Man Sentenced To 14 Years For Fatal Accident

A man from Rock Falls, Ill., has been sentenced in a 2011 drunk driving crash that killed a pedestrian.

In November of 2011, Chad Morse was behind the wheel when his vehicle crashed and wound up between the steps of a house and two trees in Rock Falls.

Morse and two passengers were injured.

Police discovered that 33-year-old Brad Nitsch of Rock Falls had been struck and killed by the car.

Morse pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated DUI accident causing a death.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
