When he got the news, Dave Wrath says he was overwhelmed.

Dave is the Sports Information Director at  Augustana  College, and next month the new press box at the college football field will be named in his honor.

For thirty two years, he's provided the media guides, statistics and other information which chronicles Augustana  Athletics.

Wrath says it's been a privilege to be associated with the college for so many years.

He also attended Augustana, and ran cross country on a team which went to nationals under legendary coach Paul Olsen.

Wrath was Sports Information  Director when Bob Reade's football teams won four consecutive Division Three National Championships in the 1980's.

Dave Wrath is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America Hall of Fame.

Since 1982, he has worked every single home game as SID at Augustana.

So congratulations to one of the truly nice guys who will have his name where it belongs. The Dave Wrath Press Box. He is one of the very best.
