He is inspiring. Eighteen year old Avery Arp of Muscatine is running a small business despite the challenges he faces.

In June, Avery started B and C Barkery. With the help of his mom,  Avery makes  doggie treats which he sells at the Muscatine Farmer's Market.

The business is named after his dogs.

Avery has attention deficit, severe anxiety, epilepsy and Asperger Syndrome. His mother Millie says running this small business gives her son confidence and allows him to do something which adds to the community.

He takes each day as it comes and never complains.

Avery also makes deliveries. One of his stops is the Muscatine Veterinary Hospital.

Mike Morris is Avery's step dad.  Mike says Avery has done a wonderful job of accepting his challenges and learning skills which will help him for the rest of his life.
