UPDATE: Davenport Police have released the names of two people killed in a motorcycle crash this weekend.

The passenger on the motorcycle, 49-year-old Deborah Rowley of Blue Grass, Iowa was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her husband, 39-year-old William Rowley was driving the motorcycle.

He died after being rushed into surgery.

Neither victim was wearing a helmet.

ORIGINAL: Davenport Police are currently investigating a crash that occurred at W. River Dr. and Blue Grass Ct.

The crash happened right before 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The van stopped to turn left onto Blue Grass Ct. when the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the van.

The female motorcycle passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver was undergoing surgery for serious injuries at Genesis East Hospital, but died due to the severity of his injuries.

The driver of the van was not injured. Weather conditions appear to be a factor in the crash.

The names of both victims on the motorcycle are not being released yet. Again, the crash is still under investigation.
