Improving access to both health care and wellness as Genesis is getting ready to open it's new Healthplex in Moline.

The center isn't ready for patients just ye but we took a tour of the facility today on 28th Avenue. The development will have a medical office building, house nine primary care physicians, convenient care, wellness services as well as an on-site lab.

"This new building will bring together multiple practices that are spread out so that we can be more centralized," said Brian Anderson, a Genesis Family Physician. "The goal with this facility is again not just to treat sick people but to make sure we're trying to keep people well."

There's also a plan for public green spaces and an exercise path on the grounds.

The facility is scheduled to open in about a month.
