She graduated from Millikin University with a degree in Commercial Art.

However, 39 year old Jill Rodts of Milan wanted to express her faith in an artistic way.

Jill works with oil paint, colored pencils, and acrylics..

She paints pictures of  God, the Saints, and Blessed Mother Mary.

Rodts attended Alleman  High School in Rock Island.

Recently, she was working on an oil painting of Saint Francis of Assisi,  calling him an instrument of peace.

She did four Lenten paintings and titled them the Good News of the Gospel.

Her art she says is a way to promote the beauty, truth and goodness that God gives each and every day.

Rodts says through her art, she is honoring God for the talent he has given her.
