Kewanee Named Friendliest City In America

A QCA town has a lot to be proud about, after being named the Friendliest City in America in the 2013 Rand McNally Best of the Road Contest.

Kewanee, Ill. came out on top in a race with four other towns from across the country for the prestigious award.

Other cities in the running with Kewanee were Macon, Georgia; Bradenton, Florida; Murray, Kentucky; and Keokuck, Iowa.

Voting was conducted on the contest website at www.bestofhteroad.com, from July 1 through September 3, 2013.

Other categories included Most Beautiful City in America, Most Fun, Most Patriotic, Best for Food and Best for Geocaching.
