Theft Investigations In Carroll County

The Carroll County Crime Stoppers are looking for help to solve a series of crimes that occurred sometime late Monday night, October 7, into early Tuesday morning, October 8, 2013.

Police in Savanna, Ill. say a vehicle was stolen from Milwaukee Street and later returned to the same area.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Department is also investigating several incidents that happened around the same time frame in the Carroll Heights subdivision.

Officials say around 3:00 a.m., a homeowner saw a vehicle in her driveway on Alice Street, and noticed a person going through the property in her vehicle.

The vehicle left the area.

These events weren't reported until later.

Around 4:30 a.m., someone entered a house on Loop Road and took a purse.

This incident wasn't discovered until around 8:00 a.m.

A third residence, located on Serenity Lane, was entered sometime overnight and a purse and other small items were taken.
