Criminal Charges Against Driver In Coal Valley Pedestrian Crash

A Davenport teen faces serious charges in connection with a crash that sent three people to the hospital.

Coal Valley police say 17-year-old Thomas N. Taylor was behind the wheel when he struck two pedestrians walking along Highway 150 Saturday night, October 12, 2013. A passenger in Taylor's car was also taken to the hospital with injuries.

Taylor was initially cited in connection with the crash. Now, police say he faces criminal charges on three counts of felony aggravated driving under the influence and one charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Those who were injured in the crash were expected to recover.
