Police in Aledo, Ill. are investigating the theft of funds from the Mercer County School Athletic Booster Club.

The police chief announced Monday that they have made an arrest, but the investigation is still ongoing. On Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, 39-year-old Chastity M. Jackson was arrested on two counts of felony theft.

According to the grand jury indictment, she is accused of taking between $500 and $10,000 from the booster club fund for her own personal use. The indictment says Jackson purchased food, tobacco, alcohol and a plasma television with the money.

She was taken to the Mercer County Jail where she was released after posting bond.
