With Davenport opening a new recycling drop-off center, the spotlight is shining on recycling in general. And one of our cities really shines.

Moline's Municipal Services General Manager Doug House says, "Our contractor is Midland-Davis. They tell us it's one of the most successful programs that they're aware of in the state, at 85 percent. We're very proud of that. It represents 2,300 tons of recyclables removed from our waste stream, so we don't have to pay for that to go into the landfill."
