The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides utility assistance to residents living at or below
150% of the Federal Poverty Level in Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties.  LIHEAP is funded by the Illinois Department of Economic
Opportunity and offers assistance in the following programs: One Time Benefit Payment, Reconnection Assistance, Emergency Furnace Assistance and Cooling Funds.

Beginning November 1, 2013, LIHEAP assistance programs become available to all low-income households throughout Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties.

Anyone looking to take advantage of the program should make an appointment with their local Project NOW office on or after November 1, 2013.
