Galesburg Police Arrest Man With Christmas Wrapped Cannabis

On Thursday, November 7, 2013, officials in Galesburg, Ill. arrested a man on drug charges, with the help of a dog.

Police say they found 26-year-old Darrius Kendrick at the train station, traveling from California to Chicago.

Officers say he was carrying several packages, wrapped in Christmas paper.

They say a K-9 unit was able to sniff out the contents, over six pounds of pot.

Police say the 2,800 grams of cannabis has a street value around $3,200.

Kendrick is charged with cannabis trafficking and possession with intent to deliver.
