Bill's Christmas Card Creativity

Updated:

He says it is a joy and a challenge. A challenge Bill Hannan of Moline thrives on.

For almost 60 years, Bill Has been designing Christmas cards. He started in 1955 and the tradition continues today.

However, this year, Bill is sending out a book to forty of his friends and relatives.

It is sixteen pages. He wrote the manuscript, did the illustrations, and put together the layout.

This year, the book is titled "The Boy's Own Christmas Part III".  He tells of living in Michigan in 1948. In March of that year, he accidentally got hit in the mouth with a baseball bat while playing with a friend.

He took months for the injury to heal, and a few days before Christmas, the dentist gave him a partial plate. Bill had his two front teeth back.

Ironically, 1948 was the same year that a song was published which is familiar to so many. "All I I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth". That's exactly what Bill Hannan got.

A Christmas story, and a Christmas present,  definitely worth smiling about.
