A single vehicle accident took the life of one man in McCausland, Iowa early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 1:00 a.m. on November 27, 2013.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office says the car, a Nissan Juke, was traveling north on 210th Avenue, also known as Utica Ridge Road.

After crossing 300th Street, the driver lost control, causing the car to slide sideways, into the west ditch rolling several times before coming to rest in a corn field.

Officials say 23-year-old Logan M. Manley was pronounced dead at the scene.

McCausland, Eldridge, and Scott County officials responded to the scene. A Med Force helicopter was also called.

The crash remains under investigation.
