A man was arrested for animal cruelty after dragging a puppy across concrete while driving a small motorized scooter.

Samuel James May, 47 of Moline, was arrested for one count of Animal Cruelty and is currently out on bond.

Police learned of the case on Sunday, December 1st. While responding to the 7-11 on 27th Street and Avenue of the Cities just after midnight, police found bloody paw prints and dog feces. After viewing the store video and speaking with witnesses, the officers were able to locate the suspect and his dog.

The video showed the suspect on a small motorized scooter dragging the puppy across the parking lot.

KWQC obtained surveillance video of the incident and has decided it is too graphic to air on television or online.
