The annual Toys For Tots Drive gets a huge boost from employees at the IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union.

On Wednesday, several employees went on a shopping spree at Toys "R" Us in Moline. Weaving their way through the store, these thoughtful folks selected about 16 hundred dollars in Christmas presents for less fortunate children in the area.

This was Jonathan Smith's first time shopping for the kids. He says it feels great to be a part of something bigger than himself.

Santa's elves bought games, dolls, footballs, and many, many other items.

They spent about a thousand 43 dollars . These Goodwill Ambassadors also spent  about 546 dollars in cash to buy other toys.

At the Silvis branch office, employees also had more toys tucked away in a vault. The employees formed an assembly line and packed the toys into a van. They will be delivered to the Marine Corps Toys For Tots.

In all, the credit union raised enough cash this year to buy toys worth more than eleven thousand dollars.

As one employees said: " Just imagine, some child somewhere is going to open this up and think it's the best thing ever."

Thanks to a group of people who took the time to care!!!
