Weather is an apparent factor in an accident on Interstate 80 Sunday afternoon which impacted traffic for miles. It happened in the Westbound lanes near the Middle Road exit. Traffic was backed up as far back as the I-80 bridge near LeClaire.

There's no word on any injuries involved with the accident. There were also several more cars in the ditch along the way, some of them abandoned by drivers. Travelers reported experiencing delays for a couple of hours tonight.
