Additional Damage Found On Mississippi Tow Boat

More damage has been found on the towboat crews are trying to move out of LeClaire.

Crews are still on the scene trying to get the boat ready to move. Officials with the Coast Guard tell KWQC two additional holes have been found besides the initial one discovered, and already patched up.
Crew members are also performing a damage assessment but this means some additional work before the boat can be removed.

The towboat hit an object in the Mississippi River more than two weeks ago and started to sink. The boat was raised from the water and is now sitting upright as the water drains.
Most of the spilled fuel and oil have been cleaned up but crews are still battling the cold weather elements. Once the boat is ready to go, it will be towed to a repair facility.
