A crash in Whiteside County has resulted in one death.

On Tuesday, December 10th around 3:50 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two vehicle collision on Route 30 near the intersection of Hillside Road.

An investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Jesse R. Jones crossed the center line and struck another head on.

The Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other as well as two other occupants on that driver's car were all transported by EMS from the scene.

At this time the names of those involved are being withheld as the investigation is ongoing. Whiteside County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Morrison Police Dept., Fulton Police Dept., Morrison Fire Dept., Fulton Fire Dept., Morrison EMS, Fulton EMS, and MEDFORCE, as well as Illinois State Police.
