Davenport: Felony Suspect Arrested After Fleeing From Police


Officials in Davenport say a police pursuit has lead to the capture of a wanted gunman.

Police say officers spotted wanted suspect, 28-year-old Mitchell S. Gahagan at 4th and Division Streets, around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.

When officers tried to pull him over, Gahagan fled.

Because he was wanted on gun-related crimes, officers initiated a chase.

The chase culminated in the 5000 block of Austin Avenue, off of West Locust Street in Davenport.

Gahagan was arrested and is now in custody at Scott County Jail facing two felony drug related charges and two felony firearms charges.

As a result of the pursuit, Gahagan was also faces a felony charge of eluding police.
