Davenport Approves City Square Project

Downtown Davenport is set to get a fresh look after plans were approved for a huge renovation project.

City leaders approved the City Square Project on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, voting nine to one in favor of the improvements.

The project includes renovation of the Parker-Putnam buildings on Second Street, between Main and Brady Streets.

Developers hope to build a high end hotel, office space, and restaurant.

Construction should start in 2014.
