Be careful if you are traveling on Interstate 80 near the big X in Illinois Friday afternoon. Illinois State Police say a westbound lane is closed after two semi rigs crashed around 1 p.m.

According to a news release, a semi truck was broken down and parked on the right shoulder of I-80 westbound at mile marker 12. A second semi approached and crossed onto the shoulder striking the parked rig. The impact dumped the parked rig's load onto the highway. Two people inside were taken to the hospital. The driver of the moving semi, 61-year-old Dale R. Marshall of Amana, Iowa, is charged with improper lane usage and log book violations.

Because of the clean up, the right, westbound lane is expected to be closed until 6 p.m., Dec, 13, 2013.
