A Winter Weather Advisory continues until Saturday morning for Henry, Des Moines and Lee counties in Iowa, and Bureau, Stark, Knox, Henderson, Warren, Hancock, and McDonough counties in Illinois.

These are the areas that will see at least 3 to as much as 7 or more inches of snow by the time the snow ends early Saturday. South of the Quad Cities Metro area driving will be a bit more tricky as the farther south you go the more snowy the roads will become overnight.

There won't be a lot of wind with this system so blowing and drifting snow won't be a problem. But, as the snow falls visibilities might be reduced.

To the north of the Quad Cities Metro area there will be a sharp cut-off to the snow. Areas north of Highway 30 will see little, if any accumulating snow by Saturday morning. As the snow ends Saturday temperatures will still climb to near 30.

There could be a few peaks of late-day sun, as well. Clearing skies Saturday night will allow temps to drop to the single digits to start Sunday and in the afternoon highs will only reach the teens.
