Prisoner Escapes From Dubuque Work Release Facility

An Iowa prison inmate who was recently transferred to a work release facility in Dubuque is missing. The Iowa Department of Corrections says that 35-year-old Ricky Eugene Tuthill, Jr. failed to return to the facility on Monday, Dec., 23, 2013, after leaving for work. He had been serving a 15 year sentence as a habitual offender and was sent to the work release program in September.

Tuthill is a Caucasian with brown hair and blue eyes. He's 6' 1" tall and weighs 211 lbs. He has tattoos on his upper arms, back chest and abdomen.

Any information as to Tuthill's whereabouts should be reported to the Dubuque Police Department or Dubuque County Sheriff's Department.
