A house fire leaves a family of four without a home and wondering where they will stay. Firefighters were called to the 500 block of 29th Avenue in East Moline Friday afternoon, Dec, 27, 2013. When they got there, flames were shooting from the garage. The fire then spread to part of the house.

We spoke with the homeowners who say they lost two dogs in the fire. No one else was home at the time.

A neighbor says they have already started helping the family get items they need.

"They have a 10 month old baby.  I went to Jewel's to get them some food and formula for their baby to help out ."

The Quad Cities chapter of the American Red Cross was also on the scene to assist the family of two adults and two children.

Fire officials say they are still looking into what caused the fire.
