Bank Robbery In Rock Island: Suspect Description

Update: Rock Island police have released a description of the suspect in a robbery at a Mississippi Valley Credit Union branch. Police say the suspect showed the teller a note and implied he had a weapon, but did not show it.

Police say the man is believed to be in his mid-twenties, 6' tall and 175 lbs. with reddish brown mustache and larger, black wire-rimmed glasses. He was wearing a blue varsity-style jacket with white or gray sleeves, blue jeans, a white hooded sweatshirt under his jacket and a dark stocking cap. The FBI has joined in the investigation.

Police in Rock Island, Ill. are investigating a bank robbery that took place late Monday morning, December 30, 2013.

They say the IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, located at 4206 5th Ave. was robbed, but aren't giving out much more information.

According to police, no one was injured at the scene.

Officials say an investigation is underway.
