New Laws For Iowa & Illinois In 2014


As we turn the page and begin a new calendar year, people on both sides of the mighty Mississippi will have some new rules to abide by.

In Illinois, there will be new laws on the books dealing with medical marijuana, the use of cell phones while driving, and raising the interstate speed limit to 70 MPH.

In Iowa, many new laws went into effect on July 1, 2013, but there will be a few that will be new on January 1, 2014.

Among them is one designed to help keep younger Iowa drivers safer by requiring longer instruction time behind the wheel and less distractions caused by multiple passengers.
