UPDATE: Galesburg Police with the assistance of the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force have located and arrested Brandon J. Kenny.

Kenny was arrested at a residence at 2336 Knox Rd. 150 E. in Gaslesburg, Ill.

Police say he was taken into custody without incident.

ORIGINAL: An arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of a 15-year-old in Galesburg, Ill.

On Sunday December 22, 2013 at 8:50 p.m. the Galesburg Police received a call that someone had been shot in the area of Holton Street and Monmouth Boulevard.

When they arrived, officers found 15-year-old Javon Butler in the backyard of 607 Monmouth Blvd., with an apparent gunshot wound.

Butler was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox County Coroner.

On Thursday, January 2, 2014, police arrested one suspect, 18-year-old Alex Horton and charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police say they found him in Galesburg with help from the U.S. Marshals.

He's being held in Knox County on a $250,000 bond.

Police are still looking for a second suspect, 18-year-old Brandon Kenney.

He's wanted for first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
