A Burlington man is in police custody accused of leading police on a chase in a semi-tractor. It started Monday evening around 5 p.m. at a gas station in Geneseo and ended after a crash with a passenger car in Moline. Police say they first started looking for the semi when the driver reportedly drove off without paying for over $700 in fuel.

The semi, which wasn't pulling a trailer, was spotted on Interstate 74 in Henry Co. That's when a deputy tried to pull it over, but the driver wouldn't stop. The driver then exited onto John Deere Rd. in Moline and the chase continued through a residential neighborhood. Police set-up a spike strip, which damaged the front tires of the rig, but the driver continued and wound up on the Avenue of the Cities and then, at the intersection of 19th St. and 12th Ave., police say he ran a red light and struck another vehicle. That's when the driver jumped out and ran away. 30-year-old Justin M. Miller was arrested after a short foot chase.

Miller was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries and then taken to the Henry Co. Jail. The driver of the car refused treatment.

Miller is charged with felony theft, no valid driver's license, registration or insurance and was also wanted on a warrant out of Burlington, Iowa.
