Farmers from around the region are checking out the new and getting a glimpse into the future at the annual farm show in Rock Island.

Organizers say there are over 200 exhibitors on hand at the QCCA Expo Center, showing the latest in equipment, seeds, chemicals, soil treatments and fertilizers, focusing on the upcoming planting season.

Iowa farmer, William Riedesel made the trip to Rock Island to take a look at new products.

"There's new stuff that comes out you see on TV and in magazines but here you get to actually see it and talk to the salesperson to find out what it's all about."

The show caters to more than 240,000 farmers in Illinois and Iowa within a 100 mile radius of the QCA.

The show is in its 23rd year and continues through Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
