He is a Boy Wonder. Thirteen year old pianist Daniel Souvigny  from Kane County, Illinois is a special talent.

His fingers fly across the keyboard. Souvigny was drawn to piano music as a little boy.

Years ago, Daniel and his dad would play duets. Sometimes, the little guy would perform from the comfort of his high chair.

This weekend, Daniel will be one of the star attractions at the Eagles and Ivories Ragtime Weekend in Muscatine.

He loves ragtime, calling it upbeat and happy music.

The seventh grade student is home schooled. He practices piano two hours every day. He also plays classical music from memory.

Daniel would like to be a concert pianist someday.

Piano is not the only instrument he plays. Daniel is also quite accomplished with the violin, drums, and guitar. He has earned several awards for his musical ability.

This is the 20th year for Eagles and Ivories Ragtime Weekend. Daniel and some other talented musicians will perform at Wesley United Methodist Church in Muscatine.  Those performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings at seven o'clock.

On Saturday from 9am-3pm, an Eagle Watch takes place on the Muscatine Riverfront.
