The following information was announced by Illinois State Police District 7 headquarters in East Moline:

At this time Illinois State Police District 7 is under a Blizzard Warning. 
The travel conditions are treacherous with zero visibility on open roads. 

District 7 has implemented their emergency snow plan. 
        -Property damage crashes will be handled at a later time. If 
vehicles are drivable, motorists will exchange information and make a 
report with in 10 days of the incident.
        -All vehicles that slide off the road and not blocking travel will 
have occupants safely removed from the interstate and the vehicle will be 
tagged for removal when                 conditions are deemed safe.
 
TRAVEL IS NOT ADVISED!!! WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS HAVE CAUSED MANY INCIDENTS 
REQUIRING EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPONSE. With the temperature dropping, 
conditions could quickly become life threatening. 

If stranded: notify 911 at once, give an accurate location, and STAY WITH 
YOUR VEHICLE!!
