Obama To Raise Some Minimum Wage With Executive Order

Posted: Updated: Jan 28, 2014 10:56 PM
The minimum wage will jump for "some" federal workers. President Obama uses Tuesday's State of the Union address to announce he's raising the minimum wage for "new" federal contract workers to $10.10 an hour.

He'll sign an executive order authorizing the increase from $7.25 an hour.  It will only apply to future contracts, not existing ones.
