How much do you know about the Olympic host city of Sochi?  Here are a few fun facts.
First of all, it's home to more than 415,000 people. It's a popular summer resort city, nicknamed the "Russian Riviera." Back in the day, Sochi was a favorite vacation spot for Joseph Stalin.
Sochi is actually the longest city in Europe. It stretches along the Black Sea for 92 miles.
The average February temp there is 47 degrees, which is the warmest ever for a Winter Olympic city. During the Olympics, it will be home to more than 6,000 athletes from 85 countries. There will also be 37,000 security officers on hand to try to protect the athletes and spectators.
As for the events, there are 89 this time around, including 12 new ones. Team figure skating and snowboard and ski slopestyle are among them.

Finally, something to whet your appetite. The average price for lunch in the Olympic Village is $15 and apparently a lot of lunches will include the Russian favorite borscht, which is beet soup. Seventy-thousand gallons of it are expected to be served during the Olympics.
