UPDATE: Students at Blue Grass Elementary School are being evacuated as a precautionary measure due to the fire.

School officials say students are being taken by school bus to St. Andrew's Catholic Church on Lotte St., Blue Grass.  

Parents may pick up their children at the church, but they say if you are unable to pick them up, they will remain at the church until the end of the school day when school busses will transport students at the regular time.

ORIGINAL: Eyewitnesses have reported a fire at Rich Metals, 325 W Mayne in Blue Grass, Iowa Tuesday morning.

Crews from multiple departments are assisting at the scene.

According to an employee, everyone was able to safely get out of the building.
