Update 2-14-14: Police say and autopsy conducted Friday, Feb. 14, shows that Michelle Woods died from neck and head trauma. The Moline Police Department is treating this investigation as a homicide and asking for any information from the public that may help. 

Original 2-13-14:

Moline Police are looking for help to solve a suspicious death.

Police say they received a call at 6:44 p.m. on Wednesday night, that a woman was found dead in the 200 block of 53rd Street.

The woman was identified as 39-year-old Michelle Woods.

After an investigation, police are considering her death suspicious.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning, February 14, 2014.

Police ask anyone who was in the area at that time that may have seen anything suspicious to call the Moline Police Department, 309-797-0401 or Crime Stoppers at 309-762-9500. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
