Preston Police Urge Vigilance About Attempted Abductions

Posted: Updated:

Preston police are asking parents to be vigilant after two separate child abduction attempts Friday night.

The first happened at 6:15.  A 7-year girl told police she was grabbed from behind by a white man in dark clothing. She bit him and he ran off.

Police say they got a second call at 9. Two 13-year old boys said a white man in dark clothing driving a green minivan tried to approach them. They took off.

Police say the white man has a scruffy beard, is in his late 30's to early 40s, and is slender. They say there was also a woman in the van.
