Rock Island Lifts Boil Advisory

The City of Rock Island issued the following statement on their website concerning the lifting of the nearly citywide boil advisory which was issued on Thursday, February 13, 2014.

"The boil advisory for City of Rock Island water customers from 7th Avenue south to the Rock River and from 11th Street east to the Moline border is lifted. The City of Rock Island Water Treatment Plant has tested water samples from multiple locations in the affected areas and verified the water is safe for consumption without boiling. The water pressure through the system is normal.

This notice does not apply to properties that were issued a separate boil order due to a main break in their area. Those boil order remain in effect until notified otherwise.

Thank you for your patience and understanding."
