UPDATE

The two individuals that died in the Henry County fire were John Allen Loyd, 74, and Barbara Ann Loyd, 72, of 3207 James Avenue.

Two people were found dead at the scene of a house fire in Henry County Iowa Wednesday night.

Sheriff's officials were called to an explosion/house fire at 3207 James Ave. at 4:57 p.m.

When deputies arrived, they found a trailer home fully engulfed in fire.

Multiple fire crews were called to the scene including Salem Fire and Rescue, New London Fire Department and Mt. Pleasant Fire and Rescue.

After the fire was extinguished, two adults were found dead inside.

Their identities have not been released at this time due to pending identification and notification of the family or next of kin.

The Iowa State Fire Marshall is assisting with the investigation.
