No Water In Lyndon, IL-UPDATED

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: The Lyndon, Ill. Village Clerk tells KWQC the boil order has been lifted.

ORIGINAL: Residents of Lyndon, Ill., may be in for a surprise when they try to turn on their tap this afternoon.

A water main break caused the water tower to drain on Friday, February 21, 2014.

A boil order is in effect but officials say that doesn't matter now because the entire town has no water.

They say the boil order will remain in effect even when the water does come back.

Officials hope to have water restored citizens by later in the day.
