Wind Damages Moline Sign

Posted: Updated:

High winds brought down a large sign at a Moline business Thursday night.

Around 10 p.m., the sign at the Kar Mart on Avenue of the Cities came crashing down and landed on a car in the lot that was for sale.

The National Weather Service reports top wind speeds of 38 mph on Feb. 20, with gusts up to 47 mph. The car that the sign fell on is considered a total loss, but no one was hurt.
