Former Davenport Teacher Pleads To Student Sexual Exploitation

Posted: Updated:

A former Davenport North High School teacher and Head Basketball Coach has pleaded guilty to several charges in connection with inappropriate behavior involving two students.

On March 3, 2014, Daniel Schneiderman entered a guilty plea on charges of sexual exploitation by a school employee, harassment and telephone dissemination of obscene material to a minor.

He was accused of sending sexually explicit photos and text messages to a female student as well as removing the victim from classes, rubbing the victim's thighs and kissing her neck during school hours.

He was also charged separately over allegations of sexually abusing another student. In all, he faced seven charges. He entered a negotiated voluntary plea on all but two counts.

Schneiderman no longer works for the school district.
