Students Report Gunshots Near Augustana Campus

Posted: Updated:

Augustana College is warning students to be aware of their surroundings after shots were fired near some off-campus housing over the weekend.

It happened on Sunday around 3:00 a.m. near 34th Street and Sixth Avenue.

Five students got off a bus and noticed four men following them.

When the students tried to unlock their door, they heard a pop.

They thought it was a cap gun, but then they later discovered a hole in the window and a bullet lodged in the wall.

No one was hurt.

Augustana officials tell us police are investigating.
